Repression

Part of the Growth series. Repression illustrates the concept of negative, nurtured growth due to shame and abuse.

Growth is a series of paintings done with the intention of illustrating the parallels between psychological growth in humans, and growth found in nature. As growth is able to take many forms -- positive and negative, learned and innate -- I wanted to get a variety of subjects to portray it.
